As part of the Hodder Education Group, Philip Allan provides high quality Conferences, Courses and Workshops for Teachers, plus Student Conferences. We work with the best experts in the education field to ensure that you are given the most up-to-date, relevant information, delivered in an accessible and practical way.

Conferences

We have a number of established annual National Teachers’ Conferences in topic specific subjects including: Economics, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, Maths, Psychology and Sociology to keep you up to date with the latest information, research and curriculum developments. 

Our portfolio also includes Education Conferences which are designed to address critical issues facing teachers and school leadership teams. These events will keep you up to date on the latest and upcoming policies, new regulations and best practice. A day away from school will provide you with a clear vision of the future for you, your educational establishment and your pupils. 

These conferences will include a number of authoritative experts, different perspectives and a chance for you to gain answers to your questions. You’ll be able to meet with peers and build your network of colleagues beyond your local community and will leave with practical solutions, insight and inspiration.


Teacher Workshops

 
Our Teacher Workshops/Courses are developed to give you the skills and information needed for the classroom. Our presenters - who are Chief and Principal Examiners, leading educationalists, authors and consultants – deliver advice and information in a practical and inspiring way. They also give you the forum to discuss and share new ideas with colleagues.

We have a number of regular Teacher Workshops/Courses that run every year, but we also make sure that when anything changes in the education sector we’re there with a new event to help you.

Attendees are also given full course materials including notes, teaching materials and resources, suitable for immediate use back in school or college as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Student Conferences

We know that motivating your students can sometimes be a challenge so our Student Conferences are designed to be stimulating, exciting and above all useful! We also offer Revision and Update Conferences on top of the subject Interest Days.

Revision/Update Conferences
These are planned by experienced, senior examiners and are generally exam-specific ensuring that your students have the best chance of exam success.

Interest Days
These conferences are designed to widen the appeal of a particular subject. Students are addressed by expert speakers including leading politicians, academics, business leaders and social commentators.

Student Conferences are normally delivered in large auditoriums and each student receives a programme for the day as well as a booklet of presentation notes.
